Q. Why is this important?

A. The FCC regulates, coordinates and licenses the radio spectrum, without this control radio transmitters used by Police, Fire, Phones, Door Openers, etc would not function together. Licensed systems are held to higher standards by the FCC and it is a felony to interfere with a licensed system. In the event this does happen, the FCC will intervene to settle any problem.
